My name dose not have some meaning. my mother named my name. Then, she liked the tone of my name "Saori", it is her favorite, so she named me "Saori". Saori of my Kanji is a little different than usual. My mother thought that the number of strokes in Kanji is important, so she wanted to fit between my last name and my given name. Acutually, I do not like my name very much because my name dose not have some meaning. I am not often call "Saori" exclude my family. My friends of school call me Sally and my friends of tennis call me my last name or Mariko, so I do not need to change my name.

I believe in horoscopes to some extend. The reason why is that I am interested in horoscopes, but I think that it is not completely because horoscopes are not always true. If it were always true, the way to live for people is only 12 ways. That is why I do not believe in horoscopes completely.

My horoscope, it is cancer, of this week especially busy, there are few problems than there are in August, and the 23th-24th is strong for money earned. I think two things are right, but last one is not collect.

The Custom of My Country When Someone Invite Me 

 In my country, when a person invites you their home for the first time for dinner at 8:00, there are some things you do. It’s the custom. First, I arrive their home on time. If I arrived too early or late, they would confuse. Then, I take a gift which of kind is famous food or goods. For example, when I went to my friend’s house, I took Jindaiko. It is famous Japanese sweets, its material is Anko and Mochi. Second, I usually say something nice about the house or dinner table. I say my feelings. For example, “What a beautiful house it is!” I never say a lie and the contrary. When I eat dinner, I don’t often ask for more, but if they suggest more and I want to eat, I eat more. Finally, I always say “Gochisou samadeshita.” It is thankful expression and important. After dinner, I leave their home when I feel the atmosphere.

Robin Hood

This movie's place is in England. A main charactor of the movie is Robin Hood, who is very good at  atchery. At the time, Prince John is the prince of England, however, he extort tax from poor people a lot. People was more and more poor, so people disappointed Prince John.

Robin Hood steals some money with Little John, who is his partner, from the aristocratic and Prince John, and they give poor people the money. People was very thanksful for him, but Prince John is always annoyed Robin Hood and wanted to catch and kill Robin Hood.

Robin Hood, he tried his best to help poor people. The brave man, in the end, made the poor people and Marian happy. He married her because they loved each other. People bless them and was so glad them.

My favorite scene of the movie is that Robin Hood helped people who was too poor to pay their tax. I can understand that he is brave and kind by the scene. Prince John lost him, he is looser!! I feel JUSTICE win evil.

Essay 2-01a: Favorite Place

I have a lot of favorite places. This picture expresses my favorite places. I am often in Kumamoto. I live in Akitsu, part of Kumamoto city. Sometimes, I go to Fukuoka for a match of tennis or see my friends. This time, I would like to tell you about my house.

In Kumamoto, I am always on my house or university. My daily life is that I get up early, ready to go, go to university by motorcycle, have a classes, eat lunch, and so on... After classes, I go to tennis court and play tennis for club activity. After that, I come back home or sometimes go to eat dinner or go into training for muscle with my team mate. Sometimes, I feeling bad for relationship, however, I also enjoy having the time.

My town is called "Akitsu lake town", because maybe it is close to Ezu lake. My town was made for a residential area about 20 years ago. My father decided to live the town because it is silent, and closs my father's working office. We can go his office by bus, and it takes us 20 minutes. He is public officer.

I like my room because the room is only used by me, so I can spend own time. In my room, I read magazines, do my home work, listening to music, sleep a lot, and talk my friend on cellphone. I enjoy spending my time. My room is in a little mess, so I have to clean my room...

My family consists father, mother, grandma, and two brothers. So we eat breakfast and dinner together. We gather living room, so I like living room. In this room, I talk to my family, especially my brother, a lot. I think that our living room is very important for us to spend time together.

One of my favorite place is bath room. I can relax to be flooded hot water. After come back home, I am always so tired that it is important for me to take a shower and be flooded hot water.

As a result, these are necessary for me. To stay my health, and communicate my family, they cannot be lack. I love Kumamoto, my family, friends, my living town and so on. I will keep their my loving things.

This summer, I had been to America for a month. (24 Jul.  20 Aug.) It is a home stay program for my University.

I can get 4 credits in this study and training.

First of all, I was so tired and sleepy because I was jet lag then.

After 2 week I stayed, I was not jet lag.

It took me 12 hours to go to Minneapolis airport from Narita airport.

It is the first time that I went to America, so I felt very long time.

In the class, I was very sleepy because I was jet lag. 

Sometimes, I had a headache when it was rainy day.

Morever, I did not like American foods very much.

I hate dressing for salad, and Bethel's lunch. I can't eat a lot.

My favorite memory of my junior high school days is when I was 3rd grade. I went to Kumamoto Marist Gakuen junior high school. It is private. I did not need to pass the entrance exam for high school. So after school, I talked with my friends or played badminton every day. I enjoyed talking and playing badminton a lot. Sometimes, I went to down town with my friends and shopping, and went my friend's house and eat lunch. I did not study a lot. Sometime I annoyed my friend ships or my charactor. My teachers worried about me. I talked my teachers a lot. Thanks to my teacher and friends, I kept cheer up. Now, these are all important memories for me. It is necessary to make what I am!

I often wear clothes for sports in University because I belong to tennis team of my University. After the class, I have to run to the tennis court and practice tennis. I often bought clothes for tennis in Sports Autholity. Do you know the shop? It is my favrite one. Actually, I would like to wear usual clothes more in school. I only wear it free time. (don't have club activity) I like casual clothes, so my favorite clothes' shops are page boy, the earth, forever 21 and right on. I like scart, skiny pants, shirts with lace and etc. Recently, I like short pants because I bought cute short pants in America. There are many clothes, espesially short pants and scart in America.

BR 2-02: Floppy's Bath

"Oh no!" (Hunt & Brychta, 2003, p.16).

The reason for choice is that the picture is cute and I think why the dog is muddy. I like dogs. When I was child, I had a dog. His name is Curl. When I saw Floppy, I remembered Curl.

The overviews of this story is Floppy, which is the dog, found a rabbit in the backyard, and run after the rabbit.I think that Floppy is so cute and his family love Floppy. The writer express how cute and active Floppy is. The interesting point I think is that after his family washed Floppy, he found the rabbit and run after it again.
